Spring brings a renewed sense of life and energy, and few things capture the season better than the sights and sounds of birds returning to our yards and gardens. If you love birds or simply want to learn more about how to support them, we invite you to join us for a special presentation in our Club 55 Spring Lecture Series.
For the Love of Birds
We are excited to welcome Julie Hill, UW Extension Horticulture Educator, for an engaging and informative session on how to be bird-friendly throughout the year in Wisconsin.
Julie will share science-backed, locally rooted information designed for bird enthusiasts of every level. Whether you are a longtime bird watcher, interested in starting a new hobby or someone who simply enjoys seeing birds visit your yard, this presentation will offer practical ideas and helpful insights you can use at home.
Participants will learn more about:
Bird feeders and water sources
Ways to improve shelter and nesting sites
Gardening practices that support birds
Techniques to attract bird visitors throughout the year
The many benefits of prioritizing birds in our daily lives and landscapes
With several bird species in Wisconsin experiencing decline, this is a timely opportunity to learn from a local expert about simple, meaningful ways we can all make a difference. Julie will discuss how thoughtful choices in our yards and gardens can help create healthier habitats and support birds year-round. She will also explore how individuals can become environmental champions by making bird-friendly practices part of everyday life.
This program is designed to be welcoming, interesting, and accessible for all levels of interest. No advanced knowledge is needed—just curiosity and a love of nature.
